Shaniya Davis Updates: Mario McNeill charged with kidnap rape and murder heads to Central Prison

Mario McNeill charged with kidnapping rape and the murder of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis heads to Raleigh's Central Prison. In Thursday's news conference Fayetteville Police Department's Chief Tom Bergamine stated that he hopes the Davis family can put this behind them and begin the healing process.
Shaniya Davis has been missing since November 10 2009. Over 250 searchers including law enforcement were hoping not to find Shaniya Davis murdered in the Lee County wooded area along Walker Road but the day had come one week after her disappearance.
Antoinette Davis claimed that her daughter was placed onto a couch at 5:30 a.m. on that Tuesday morning. She came back to check on her but her daughter was gone.
Antoinette made a 911 call as heard in the audio supplied by Raleigh's own Wral.com.
Antoinette Nicole Davis Shaniya's biological mother was charged with human trafficking felony child abuse involving prostitution filing a false police report and interfering with an investigation earlier this week. Antoinette Davis remains behind bars pregnant and faces over 23 years of jail time for the recent charges. Just one of the charges carries a 261 month prison term 21.75 years. She has been charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors all together.

Shaniya Davis' autopsy results has revealed new information surrounding asphyxiation however the facts of Shaniya Davis' cause of death have not been fully released. The asphyxiation definition in this case would be to deprive of oxygen.
Mario Andrette McNeill has been charged with first-degree murder first-degree rape of a child and first-degree kidnapping charges for abducting Shaniya Davis on November 10 2009. McNeill is now being held without bail. He is in isolation in the Cumberland County Detention Center for his own protection.
Mario McNeill's history has shown countless illegal activities. In 2001 McNeill shot three people. Mario McNeill was placed on supervised probation for the shooting and drug charges.
Mario McNeill then violated his probation was sent to jail for three years released charged with drug possession again placed back on supervised probation charged with cocaine possession and soon after Mario McNeill was charged with striking a police officer with his vehicle. Mario McNeill was placed on unsupervised probation as a possible result of the police officers not knowing if Mario McNeill had pending charges.
Raleigh North Carolina will unfold a pilot program that will connect law enforcement and others to criminal records at a faster rate. As for Mario McNeill Mr. McNeill's future will be nothing like his past.
Reports according to Wral have offered the information that Shaniya Davis was raped on the day she disappeared. The same day McNeill abducted Shaniya Davis.

As of 2:30 this afternoon Mario McNeill was told by a Judge that he is facing life without parole or the death penalty for his actions. What is next for McNeill? McNeill heads to Raleigh's Central Prison and will not be placed in the prison population.
Bradley Lockhart Shaniya Davis' father held a news conference this week hoping that his words of his "angel" would spread awareness so that an unfortunate situation such as the one that happened with his daughter would not occur again.
Cumberland County is said to be the jurisdiction of the Shaniya Davis murder case. The new Mario McNeill murder charge and other charges against him would be in the jurisdiction of Cumberland County.
Shaniya Davis funeral arrangements have been made for 3 p.m. Sunday at Manna Church located on 517 Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville North Carolina according to Wral.
